How we handle your information
Pinmark is in pre-launch. There are two ways you might share your details with us: the public waitlist, where all we collect is an email address, and the invited pilot, where we collect a little more so we can actually run it. This page explains exactly what happens with both.
Who we are
Pinmark is owned and operated by Hopgood Scott Co., based in Queensland, Australia. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "Pinmark," it means Hopgood Scott Co.
What we collect
Through the waitlist form on pinmarkhsc.com, we collect only one thing: the email address you choose to give us.
We don't collect your name, your location, your IP address, your browsing history, or anything else. We don't use cookies for tracking or analytics. We don't run advertising scripts. We don't have a Facebook pixel, a Google Analytics tag, or any third-party trackers running on the site.
Why we collect it
Your email is used for one purpose: to send you a single message when Pinmark launches, so you know it's ready to use.
If we ever want to send you more than that — for example, an occasional update during development, or an early-access invitation — we'll ask first. You won't be added to any marketing list without your active permission.
The pilot program
Separately from the waitlist, we run a small invited pilot of Pinmark. If you put your name down for the pilot at pinmarkhsc.com/pilot, we collect a little more than an email — because we need it to actually run the pilot:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your region
- Whether you're looking for work, hiring, or both
- The industries that fit you
- Anything you choose to add in the optional note
We use these details to run the pilot: to work out where you fit, to contact you about taking part, and to let you know when your industry and region open up. Pilot members hear from us regularly while the pilot runs — it isn't the single launch email the waitlist gets, and that's the point of it. By putting your name down, you're opting into that contact, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Your pilot details are stored by Netlify, the same as the waitlist (see below). We keep them for as long as you're part of the pilot; if you leave, the pilot ends, or you ask us to remove them, we delete them. Your rights to confirm, correct, or remove your details — set out under "Your rights" below — apply in full.
Where it's stored
Waitlist submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our website host. Netlify is a US-based company; their privacy practices are covered by their own privacy policy, which you can read at netlify.com/privacy.
Because Netlify processes data outside Australia, your email address may be stored on servers in the United States. By submitting the form, you're aware of this.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until Pinmark launches and we've sent the launch announcement, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first.
If Pinmark doesn't end up launching, we'll delete the waitlist entirely and tell the people on it that we've done so.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Confirm whether your email is on the waitlist
- Remove your email from the waitlist
- Correct your email if it's wrong
To do any of these, email nicole@hopgoodscottco.com. We'll respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
If something goes wrong
If we ever experience a data breach that affects your information, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first — email nicole@hopgoodscottco.com and we'll work to resolve it.
If we can't resolve it together, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
When the full privacy policy replaces this one, it will be published at this same address. If you're on the waitlist when that happens, we'll email you to let you know.
